How to Save a Pages File as a PDF on a Mac

If you want to save your Apple Pages document as a PDF, follow these simple steps:

Method 1: Export as PDF (Recommended)

  1. Open Your Document

    • Open your Pages file in the Pages app.
  2. Go to File > Export To > PDF

    • In the top menu bar, click File.
    • Select Export To, then choose PDF.
  3. Adjust the Settings (Optional)

    • Choose the image quality (Best, Better, or Good).
    • If your document contains sensitive information, click Security Options to add a password.
  4. Click "Next"

    • A new window will appear where you can name your file and choose where to save it.
  5. Click "Export"

    • Your Pages document will be converted to a PDF and saved in the selected location.

Method 2: Print to PDF (Alternative)

  1. Open Your Document in Pages
  2. Go to File > Print (or press ⌘ + P)
  3. Click the "PDF" Button (Bottom Left Corner)
    • A dropdown menu will appear.
  4. Select "Save as PDF"
  5. Choose a Location & Click "Save"
